Display Technology Engineer

At SCHURTER Electronics, we develop innovative HMI solutions for customers around the world. Displays play an increasingly important role in these solutions. That is why we are looking for a Display Technology Engineer who looks beyond today's technology and actively contributes to the solutions of tomorrow.

In this role, you will be the display technology specialist within our organization. You will explore emerging technologies, translate market trends into practical applications, and collaborate with international suppliers, technology partners, and companies within the SCHURTER Group to develop the next generation of HMI solutions.

From TFT and OLED to touch solutions, cover glass, and new display concepts, you will dive deep into the technology, evaluate opportunities, and help turn innovations into successful products. Combining technical expertise with a hands-on approach, you will work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production Engineering, and Operations.

• Develop and implement innovative display and HMI solutions.

• Research, test, and validate new technologies, materials, and concepts.

• Build specialist knowledge in display technologies and related fields.

• Collaborate with international suppliers, partners, and SCHURTER Group companies.

• Advise colleagues and customers on technological possibilities and applications.

• Identify market trends and translate them into innovative product concepts.

• Initiate and manage development and innovation projects from concept to market introduction.

You are curious, analytical, and passionate about technology. You enjoy exploring new possibilities and are motivated by building and sharing knowledge. You thrive in an international environment and can easily interact with engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.In addition, you bring:

• A bachelor's degree level of thinking and working, preferably in a technical field.

• Experience with product development or technical innovation.

• An affinity for electronics, displays, HMI, or related technologies.

• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

The new tech engineer in this position will lead the HMI technology roadmap for the SCHURTER Group, which has an HMI turnover of approximately €100 million and employs around 400 people, including 40 engineers. You will report to our Head of Engineering HMI and to our CTO of the SCHURTER Group.
