The TCSV4 from SCHURTER is a tactile push button designed for applications with limited installation space. Measuring just 4.5 × 2.25 × 2.6 mm, it is ideally suited for compact PCBs and portable electronic devices.
As a PCB edge-mount component, it protrudes no more than 1.0 mm beyond the edge of the circuit board. To accommodate different operating concepts, it is available with actuation forces of 1.6 N and 3.2 N, as well as with either a standard or L-shaped shield.
High Service Life
The switch is suitable for reflow soldering and is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 260 °C for a maximum of five seconds. The electrical switching range is 2 to 12 VDC at 10 µA to 50 mA. A service life of 200,000 actuations, a contact resistance of 200 mΩ maximum, and an insulation resistance of more than 100 MΩ ensure reliable operation. The operating temperature range is -40 to +85 °C. The IP40 protection rating allows the switch to be used in a wide variety of environments.
Application Areas
Typical applications include digital cameras, audio players, sports headphones, Bluetooth accessories, and health-monitoring devices. The TCSV4 is RoHS- and REACH-compliant. It is supplied in Tape & Reel packaging with 2500 pieces per packaging unit.
