PEM with Magnetic Release Video

The SCHURTER DG11 power entry module, which has been optimized and proven over many years, is now available in a version with an additional magnetic release to protect against very high overcurrents (short circuit) at the integrated TA35 circuit breaker.

Circuit breakers are usually designed according to the thermal principle with a bimetal. If a defined temperature is exceeded due to the overcurrent, the circuit is interrupted. Once the bimetal has cooled down, the device is ready for use again. However, this process is very slow. For this reason, thermal circuit breakers are usually combined with a fuse.

Challenges in Laboratory Equipment Applications

Laboratory environments demand precision, reliability, and speed—placing high expectations on the equipment used daily. However, many devices still present challenges in usability, often requiring complex controls that slow down workflows and increase the risk of user error. In high-paced settings, intuitive operation is essential to ensure that tasks can be completed quickly and accurately without compromising safety or performance.

Efficiency is another key concern, particularly when it comes to maintenance and integration. Devices that require frequent servicing or are difficult to integrate into existing systems can significantly hinder productivity. Modern laboratory solutions must therefore combine smart design with seamless functionality, reducing downtime and enabling users to focus on critical tasks rather than technical complications.

At SCHURTER, we address these challenges with a strong focus on ergonomics, safety, and user-centered design. Our electronic components support smooth processes through intuitive interfaces and durable construction, contributing to a more efficient and comfortable work environment. With every product, we aim to support laboratory professionals by simplifying operations and enhancing the overall reliability of laboratory workflows.

Key Challenges in Laboratory Equipment Applications

  • Many laboratory devices still feature complex controls, making them difficult to operate efficiently in fast-paced environments.

  • Regular maintenance interrupts workflow processes and reduces overall productivity in the lab.

  • A lack of ergonomic design can lead to user discomfort, joint strain, and long-term physical stress.

  • Devices that do not integrate smoothly into existing systems create barriers to effective data exchange and process optimization.

  • Inconsistent performance or unreliable results compromise both quality and safety in laboratory operations.

  • Lengthy or complicated workflows result in time loss and reduce the overall effectiveness of laboratory tasks.
